All Saints Churchyard, Seckington

By far the grandest grave in the tiny churchyard of All Saints Churchyard, Seckington, is the grave of Sir Robert Burdett, 6th Baronet of Bramcote, the only son of Francis, the fifth Baronet, and Sophia, daughter of the wealthy banker Thomas Coutts. Unlike all the other Burdett Baronets, I couldn’t find his biography anywhere – so I did a bit of digging and uncovered his story.
